Assessment of the status of the provision of multiservice services in the Internet
DOI №______
Abstract
A brief historical overview of particularly significant events in the history of the development of the Internet is given. Analyzed the status of the provision of Internet services in Ukraine and the world. A scheme for constructing a global Internet and a generalized “end-to-end” scheme of user Internet access services and resources are proposed. An estimate of the minimum sufficient speed of Internet access has been made. The formulas for calculating the maximum capacity required between the levels of the hierarchy, taking into account the coefficients of aggression, are proposed.
It was concluded that with the growth in the number of Internet users, and even more so with its qualitative transition from the “Network of People” to the “Network of Things”, there is a tendency to “approach” content sources and data processing systems from upper levels closer to the access area that is, consumers of content. At the same time, the content zone itself “dissolves” in the backbone zone of IP transport; access zone and even a zone of content consumers, as part of the Internet traffic of things can and should be closed within the subscriber’s local network.
Keywords: Internet, access network, quality indicator, accessibility indicator, access speed.
