Abstract

The article highlights the specific features of water supply in Ukraine
under emergency conditions, which necessitate the implementation of mobile water
purification systems. It has been established that the full-scale invasion caused the
destruction of water management infrastructure, requiring rapid response through the
use of autonomous purification systems. It is emphasized that mobile water treatment
units ensure functionality in crisis conditions, allowing the population to maintain
essential living needs in regions where centralized water supply has been destroyed. It is
noted that Ukraine already employs high-tech solutions developed by Ecosoft, including
the «OASIS-C300» unit, which combines compactness, efficiency, and a multistage
filtration system that meets ISO and EU standards. It is determined that European
experience, represented by BASOQUELL (Austria) and Envirogen (Germany)
technologies, demonstrates the effectiveness of mobile systems in ensuring uninterrupted
water supply during crisis situations. It is highlighted that these technologies comply with
the provisions of the EU Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC), which guides
Member States toward achieving good ecological status of water bodies and
implementing a basin-based approach to resource management. It is emphasized that
combining European experience, Ukrainian technological solutions, and EU regulatory
guidelines creates the prerequisites for forming an integrated emergency water supply
system in Ukraine. The article underscores that adapting European approaches to
Ukrainian conditions will enhance national water security, minimize environmental risks,
and ensure sustainable functioning of water infrastructure under wartime and post-war
challenges.
