Abstract

The article analyzes the current state and prospects for the development of
state policy in the field of education. Since the development of the field of education
is a determining condition for the functioning of any state, the issue of the
formation of state education policy is of important and strategic importance for
the development of the state, ensuring scientific and technological progress and
economic growth. After all, education is the means that ensures the sustainable
development and competitiveness of the state in the world economic and financial
markets, which in turn requires strengthening the role of state bodies in the
formation of the strategy and policy of the development of education, with the aim
of coordinating the efforts and resources of the state to ensure the functioning of
national education systems in the context of world education. The article also
states that legal policy in the field of education is one of the priority directions of
state policy, which combines the goal, tasks, principles, expected results,
mechanisms and must respond to the transformations taking place in society and
the state; have a complex structure and solve any issues in relation to other
problems, be effective and have an impact on the population.
The fundamental directions of the state education policy today are the
transformation of the education system as a national education strategy; updating
the legislative and regulatory framework of the education system in general;
improving the structure, content and organization of education based on the
competence approach, reorienting the content of education to «global goals»,
ensuring accessible and continuous education throughout life; formation of a
protected environment, greening of education, valeological culture; development
of scientific and innovative activities in education, improvement of the quality of
education on an innovative basis; informatization of education, improvement of
library and information resource provision of education and science; ensuring
national monitoring of the education system; raising the social status of teachers;
creation of a modern material and technical base of the education system.
