Abstract

The article examines that with the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the legislative basis underwent certain changes. Thus, the Law of Ukraine No. 2102-IX of February 24, 2022 approved the Decree of the President of Ukraine «On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine». In accordance with the said Decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced and ensured the measures of the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine.
It was determined that the current legislation defines that military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, members of the rank-and-file, senior staff and military personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, others formed in accordance with the laws are classified as participants in hostilities of Ukraineʼs military formations that protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The stress and danger that law enforcement officers constantly face can take a toll on both physical and mental health. Post-traumatic stress disorder has every chance of entering the list of occupational diseases of law enforcement officers.
