TRANSFORMATION OF FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS IN THE CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS DIGITALIZATION

Abstract

The
rapid development of digital technologies and the growing scale of business digitalization are
fundamentally transforming approaches to enterprise management and decision-making processes.
Modern organizations increasingly rely on digital platforms, cloud technologies, artificial
intelligence, business analytics systems, and big data tools to improve operational efficiency and
ensure sustainable development. Under these conditions, financial and economic analysis is
undergoing significant transformation, evolving from a traditional retrospective assessment tool into
a strategic mechanism for supporting managerial decision-making based on real-time data
processing and predictive analytics.
The relevance of the research is determined by the need to adapt the methodological foundations
of financial and economic analysis to the requirements of the digital economy. Traditional analytical
approaches, focused mainly on periodic financial reporting and historical performance indicators,
are becoming insufficient for ensuring the speed and flexibility required in a highly dynamic business
environment. Digital transformation creates new opportunities for integrating heterogeneous
information sources, automating analytical procedures, and implementing intelligent decisionsupport systems capable of generating forecasts and identifying potential risks.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the peculiarities of the transformation of financial and
economic analysis under business digitalization and to determine the key directions for its
development in modern enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the impact of digital technologies
on analytical processes, the integration of financial and non-financial information, and the
implementation of innovative analytical tools.
The study examines the role of enterprise resource planning systems, business intelligence
platforms, big data technologies, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics in improving the
quality of analytical support for management. It is argued that digital technologies contribute to
increasing the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of analytical procedures while enabling
organizations to move from retrospective analysis to proactive and predictive management models.
The research also highlights the growing importance of integrated data environments that facilitate
the consolidation of financial, operational, marketing, and human resource information into a unified
analytical framework.
Special attention is devoted to the advantages of real-time analytics, which allows managers to
monitor key performance indicators continuously and respond promptly to internal and external
challenges. The paper emphasizes that the implementation of digital analytical tools enhances
transparency, reduces information asymmetry, improves risk management, and strengthens the
overall competitiveness of enterprises. Furthermore, the transformation of financial and economic
analysis supports strategic planning and contributes to the development of data-driven
organizational cultures.
The study demonstrates that the successful digital transformation of analytical processes requires
not only technological modernization but also organizational changes, including the development of
digital competencies, analytical capabilities, and data-oriented management practices. Financial
and economic analysis is increasingly becoming a strategic component of enterprise management
systems and a critical factor in achieving sustainable competitive advantages in the digital economy.
