IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF COMPETITIVENESS OF ENTREPRENEURS: ECONOMIC AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECT

The article investigates the factors influencing
the formation of the competitiveness of business entities. The scope of the concept of “entrepreneurial
competitiveness” is revealed. It is shown that the competitiveness of entrepreneurs is determined by
personal and professional advantages. It is established that the competitiveness of entrepreneurs is
a psychologically complex object that has systemic properties, includes subsystems of the
competitiveness of the individual and the activities of entrepreneurs. The content of the leading
methodological principles of the study is revealed, and the position on the leading role of
polyprofessionalism in the development of the competitiveness of entrepreneurs is formulated.
Theoretical models of the competitiveness of entrepreneurs and their personal and professional characteristics are developed, which have explanatory, predictive and applied properties. It is shown
that in the holistic study of the competitiveness of entrepreneurs, qualitative and intuitive methods,
especially the method of expert assessment, play a leading role. Ways of increasing the psychological
readiness of entrepreneurs to operate in competitive conditions are identified. It has been established
that the competitiveness of entrepreneurs is associated with entrepreneurial potential, which has the
property of resource reproduction. The relationship between the level of development of personal and
professional properties of competitive entrepreneurs and their potential has been revealed. It has
been determined that competitive entrepreneurs have a system of significant motives for activity,
among which the leading one is the motive of making a profit in combination with the strategy of
orientation towards achievement and avoiding failures. It has been shown that with the growth of
professionalism and social maturity in entrepreneurs, the role and significance of humanistic motives
increases. The personal and professional properties of entrepreneurs that affect their image and
business reputation have been established. The most important personal and professional qualities
of entrepreneurs that determine innovative orientation and innovative activity, associated with their
professional creativity, polyprofessionalism and competence, have been determined. Regularities that
establish connections between the competitiveness of entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial potential,
experience of entrepreneurial activity, and the level of polyprofessionalism have been revealed. A
generalized model of entrepreneurial competitiveness has been developed. Psychological barriers
and limitations that hinder the development of entrepreneurial competitiveness have been identified.
A concept of entrepreneurial competitiveness has been developed, which includes a postulate stating
the primary role of polyprofessionalism in achieving competitiveness; conceptual apparatus of the
problem; typologies or classifications of competitive entrepreneurs; criteria for assessing the level
of competitiveness development; psychological models and systemic descriptions of entrepreneurial
competitiveness; patterns associated with entrepreneurial competitiveness. The main ways and
conditions for implementing the specified concept have been identified.
