The article examines
the conceptual foundations and essential characteristics of management in foreign trade operations
in the context of increasing globalization and the rapid digital transformation of international
markets. The relevance of the topic arises from the growing complexity of cross-border commercial
interactions, the diversification of regulatory frameworks, and the need for enterprises to maintain
competitive positions under conditions of dynamic external environments. Special attention is devoted
to the managerial mechanisms that ensure coordinated planning, organization, and control of foreign
trade processes, as well as the systemic interrelation between operational, logistical, financial, and
communicative components of international activity.
The abstract outlines the key thematic areas addressed in the article, including the structural
features of foreign trade management, the influence of institutional and market-driven factors, and
the managerial implications of integrating digital technologies into external economic operations.
The text highlights the importance of forming adaptive management systems capable of responding
promptly to shifts in global supply chains, regulatory changes, geopolitical constraints, and
technological trends. Additionally, the abstract emphasizes the necessity of developing analytical and
methodological tools that enhance the quality of decision-making in foreign trade, improve risk
management practices, and strengthen the resilience of enterprises within international markets.
The paper provides an overview of conceptual approaches to understanding management in
foreign trade operations and identifies the distinctive managerial competencies required for effective
coordination of international transactions. The discussion stresses the importance of strategic
orientation, digital readiness, and cross-cultural communication in achieving sustainable
