CONCEPTUAL FEATURES OF THE DIGITAL SERVICES’ DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENTERPRISES OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The article examines the genesis of digital services provided using digital means, including the Internet. It has been defined a conceptual features of the development of digital services in the conditions of the information society. In the scientific research had been analyzed the objectives behind the implementation of digital services and their significance for various sectors such as the state, business, and society at large, highlighting the myriad positive outcomes stemming from their evolution. Expanding on this matter, the context of technological advancement and globalization underpins the escalating importance of digital service development. Specifically, for Ukraine, the author provides an overview on why integrating into the global digital landscape presents a formidable challenge, necessitating concerted efforts in the realm of digital service advancement, and why the continuous improvement of infrastructure, widespread broadband Internet access, and the increasing usage of mobile devices and computers lay a solid foundation for this progress. The prerequisites that affect the success of the implementation of digital services have been investigated, among which it is worth considering: the presence of a favorable investment environment, the perfection of the policy of optimal customs regulation, the optimal and promising development of the Internet  nfrastructure (fixed communication), mobile infrastructure, transparency and availability of modern technologies in educational environment. The goals of the implementation of digital services, their relevance for the state, business and society, as well as possible positive results from their implementation are identified, among which the following can be named: optimization of administrative processes, reduction of administrative burden, improvement of the economy (by stimulating entrepreneurship), reduction of business overheads, creation of better products, identification of new digital channels of distribution of services, invention of new ways of competition, improvement of the quality of life of the population, ease of access to entertainment and educational content, new career opportunities for the population, etc.
