CONCEPTUAL PRINCIPLES OF BUSINESS PROCESS DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENTERPRISE BASED ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATIONS

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the study of conceptual approaches to business process development within enterprises under the conditions of digital transformation, aiming to enhance their efficiency. Based on an analysis of current Industry 4.0 trends, a five-level model for assessing enterprises' digital development ("Digital Apexes") is proposed, which enables the determination of their digital maturity. A triadic "Digitalization Scale" model is introduced to evaluate digital development at the macro and meso levels of the economy. It is demonstrated that proactive management of digital transformations in business processes contributes to maintaining competitive advantages and increasing enterprises' economic efficiency. The key outcomes of the research include the development of recommendations for implementing digitalization tools to optimize operational and strategic activities within enterprises. «In the current context of global instability and economic challenges, it is vital for Ukrainian enterprises to ensure effective business process development as a foundation for recovery and sustainable growth. The adoption of digital transformation methods, specifically the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, is critical for enterprises to achieve a level of digital maturity sufficient to maintain competitive advantages. The conceptual and methodological approaches proposed in this study, including the five-level "Digital Apex" model and the triadic "Digitalization Scale" model, enable the assessment of the current level of digital development of enterprises and the Ukrainian economy as a whole. This facilitates more targeted and proactive management of business processes, contributing to improved
performance amidst digital transformation. Thus, the implementation of the proposed strategic elements of digital transformation and their integration into business processes create prerequisites for enhancing economic efficiency, strengthening sustainable competitive positions, and ensuring stable long-term development.»
