Estimation of information resources of «Kyivstar»

Abstract

A theoretical overview of the concept of "information resource" is made. Peculiarities of information resources of telecommunication companies are given. The provision of «Kyivstar» information resources was made by method of SWOT-analysis. The main strengths and weaknesses of the information resources of «Kyivstar», as well as its opportunities and threats have been determined. The conclusion was given on the presence of significant advantages in providing information resources at «Kyivstar« compared for its shortcomings. Negative trends in providing the information resources of “Kyivstar” are high competition, unsightly conditions for attracting investments related to the situation in the country, and poor feedback through a rather complicated structure of management Inability of employees to fully communicate with the company management. In general, it is possible to assess the state of information resources of "Kyivstar" are satisfactory. For telecommunication enterprises characteristic feature is heterogeneity of information flows and non-association of Information systems. This state of the information resources system complicates the management of these enterprises. This is due to the fact that the optimal using of information resources is to maximum providing information needs of all areas of production and economic activity of the enterprise. And effective management of information resources provision of enterprise activity is possible only in organization of purposeful arrays of information and information streams in a single information environment. So, it is actual question of improvement of information resources system in telecommunication enterprises. The introduction of automated, integrated with each other, information processing and documentation will significantly increase the processing speed of the constantly growing information flows, and the main economic effect of these means will be due to improving the quality of management and quality of main production business processes.
