DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATIONAL SOCIETY AS A DOMINANT OF INNOVATIVE GROWTH

Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of the index of development of information and communication technologies (IDI) as the main indicator of monitoring of the global information society for revealing trends of innovation growth at the national, regional and world scale. It was found that IDI definitions are based on an integrated assessment of readiness level for the implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT), the level of ICT use and the level of ICT competencies. It is proved that there is a regional unevenness in the development of the information and communication industry in the world. It is established that the dynamics of IDI testifies to the positive trend of development of the domestic information society.
