Purpose and objectives of the publication
The scientific and technical journal "Modern Information Security" is an academic platform for publishing high-quality scientific and scientific and technical research in the fields of cybersecurity and information protection, computer science and software engineering.
The journal is aimed at disseminating new knowledge, ideas and practical solutions that improve the understanding of modern challenges in secure data exchange, organization and implementation of protection methods, cryptography and information security in technological systems.
The mission of the journal is to form a professional scientific space for the development of the theory and practice of information protection, cybersecurity and security of information and communication systems, as well as to promote the implementation of innovative solutions in the field of ensuring the information security of the state, society and the individual.
The journal is focused on the scientific, professional and expert community in the field of cybersecurity and information protection, and its publications represent the results of fundamental and applied theoretical or experimental research aimed at solving current problems of information systems protection and information and communication technologies.
The main objectives of the publication are:
- publication of the results of theoretical, experimental and applied research devoted to modern problems of cybersecurity and information protection, computer science, software engineering;
- formation of an intellectual space for the exchange of ideas between scientists, practitioners and specialists in the fields of information security, cybersecurity, information protection, computer science and software engineering, promoting an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex problems in the industry;
- creating conditions for highlighting the latest scientific developments, technological innovations and standards that have practical significance for cybersecurity support in the field of information technologies at various levels - from individual algorithms to complex security systems;
- disseminating scientific results to improve the level of knowledge in specialties F2, F3 and F5, as well as popularizing the results of dissertations in these areas;
- ensuring a high level of academic integrity and review, which guarantees the scientific value and reliability of published materials.

• theoretical foundations of information and cybersecurity;
• threat models, risk management and vulnerability analysis;
• cryptographic methods and protocols for information protection;
• post-quantum and quantum cryptography, modern means of authentication;
• technical protection of information and protection against leakage through technical channels;
• security of computer networks, cloud and distributed systems;
• protection of critical information infrastructure;
• software security and secure programming;
• intrusion detection systems and cyber incident monitoring;
• standards, regulatory and legal support and information security management;
• assessment of cybersecurity risks and the state of security of information systems;
• application of artificial intelligence methods in cyber defense systems.
