DEVELOPMENT OF A STRATEGIC BENCHMARKING MECHANISM FOR ENTERPRISE DIGITAL BUSINESS PROCESSES

Abstract

The article substantiates the theoretical
and methodological foundations for developing a strategic benchmarking mechanism for enterprise
digital business processes. The criteria for multi-criteria selection of relevant reference practices
are defined and justified, taking into account strategic relevance, process similarity, technological
and contextual compatibility, evidence of effectiveness, information accessibility, and adaptability
of the practice. A priority coefficient for reference practice adaptation has been developed, which
considers the strategic importance of the business process, the magnitude of the benchmarking gap,
the adaptability of the practice, and the resource feasibility of its implementation. A strategic
decision matrix is proposed, enabling a justified choice between prioritized adaptation, piloting,
business process reengineering, deferred implementation, or rejection of the respective practice.
The practical significance of the proposed mechanism lies in its application for the strategic
improvement of digital business processes, the formulation of digital transformation programs, the
justification of digital initiative portfolios, and the enhancement of the overall effectiveness of
enterprise management decisions.
