CUSTOMER ORIENTATION OF ICT ENTERPRISES: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMIC EFFECT

Authors

Abstract

The article examines customer orientation of ICT enterprises as a
strategic basis for achieving long-term competitiveness and economic performance in the context of
digital transformation. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of digital
interaction in the formation of customer value, the rapid technological development of ICT markets,
increasing customer expectations and the need to transform information about customer behavior
into economically justified managerial decisions. The study substantiates that the specificity of ICT
enterprises is associated with a high level of technological dynamism, the complexity of digital
products and services, the importance of information in managerial decision-making, and the
sensitivity of customers to the quality, speed, convenience and personalization of digital interaction.
Customer orientation of an ICT enterprise is interpreted as an integrated characteristic of the
strategic management system aimed at systematic identification of customer needs, development of
a relevant value proposition, management of customer experience, personalization of electronic
communications, and use of customer information to improve products, services and business processes. The article develops a conceptual model of strategic management of customer
orientation that combines analytical, communication, technological, organizational and economic
components. The analytical component provides collection and interpretation of customer data; the
communication component ensures continuous interaction through digital channels; the
technological component integrates CRM, analytical systems, automation and artificial intelligence
tools; the organizational component establishes customer-oriented values and processes; while the
economic component links customer-oriented activities with financial and operational results.
The study substantiates the relationship between customer orientation, customer experience,
loyalty, retention and enterprise performance. Particular attention is paid to the economic effects
generated through increased customer retention, growth of repeat purchases, expansion of
customer lifetime value, reduction of customer acquisition costs, optimization of service costs, and
improvement of revenue stability. A system of indicators for evaluating the economic effect of
customer-oriented strategies in ICT enterprises is proposed. It includes customer retention rate,
customer lifetime value, customer acquisition cost, average revenue per customer, repeat purchase
rate, revenue growth attributable to customer-oriented initiatives, operating cost savings, return on
investment in digital communications, and the overall economic effect of customer experience
management.
The article argues that customer orientation should not be regarded solely as a marketing
instrument. For ICT enterprises, it represents an integrated strategic management system that
combines technological capabilities, digital communications, organizational learning and economic
objectives. The proposed approach creates a basis for linking customer experience indicators with
financial performance and for making economically justified decisions concerning investments in
digital customer interaction.
