Abstract

The article considers the current scientific and applied problem of diagnosing damaged software that has been affected
by cyberattacks in the context of increasing the cyber resilience of modern information systems. The purpose of the study is to
formalize the process of diagnosing damaged software as a result of cyberattacks, which provides a systematic representation
of the relationships between sets of software modules, defects, methods for their detection and recovery methods. To achieve
this goal, the methods of system analysis, mathematical modeling, set theory and formal logic were used, which allowed
describing the technological process of diagnosing in the form of a set of interconnected formal relations. The developed
formalized methodology makes it possible to proceed to automated diagnostics of damaged software. It provides systematization
of information about defects, increases the accuracy of localization of violations, reduces the complexity of analysis and reduces
the recovery time after incidents. The mathematical apparatus proposed in the work allows us to reflect not only the fact of the
appearance of a defect, but also its properties, relationships with other defects, conditions of occurrence and possible methods
of elimination. The results of the study have theoretical and practical significance. The proposed methodology contributes to
increasing the efficiency of software recovery after cyberattacks, minimizing financial and reputational losses, as well as
improving the quality and reliability of information systems. It creates the prerequisites for further research in the direction of
developing intelligent diagnostic systems based on machine learning and logical modeling of relationships between defects.
